Keep On Keepin' On

Workout:

Deadlift 5 X 3

Then.

21-15-9
KB Pistols 35#/26#
KB Goblet Squat Jumps
Depth Push Ups 45#

The deadlifts went OK. They didn't feel too heavy or too light. Started the set at 315#, went to 345# and stayed there for the sets. Again, I've got to work on weaknesses.
The triplet was another story. Pistols after heavy-ish deadlifts are a different animal than when done with fresher legs. The push ups did not offer any relief to fatigued legs. In other words, they didn't take that long to complete and that meant right back to the pistols. But, part of this journey is to try to get anything and everything covered before the Games rolls out an exercise you've not tried in a workout. You've got to throw that fishing net out as far as possible to get as many fish as possible.

After the 5:15 a.m. workout, I jumped into the 9:00 a.m. class and did Teshina's workout of 10,8,6,4,2 bodyweight squat cleans, with 3 HSPU's and 15 GHD sit ups thrown in between the sets of cleans. My time was 16:38. The first few sets of cleans were slow because of the first workout this morning. Once I got to the set of 6, it was all good from there. I wasn't planning to do a second workout today, but once I start thinking of what the competition may be doing, the desire to do well in Carson overwhelms me and I find myself over reaching. I guess that it's fine every once in a while, providing you get sufficient recovery. Nap time, here I come.
